The statute of limitations for deliveries: After a legal complaint is filed with the court, plaintiffs making the claim will have a set amount of time in which they have to deliver legal notice of the proceedings to the defendant. On which days it is legal to serve documents: In some states it is illegal to serve legal documents on election days or in a place of religious service on Sundays. Other states make it illegal to serve documents on Sundays.
